In 2008, the National Ability Center launched the Freedom Man Society as a way to recognize the amazing contributions that have been made and continue to be made by individuals to ensure the continued success of the NAC. What is the Freedom Man? |
The NAC logo, the Freedom Man, was designed to represent the opportunities for each individual to discover self esteem, confidence and physical development through participating in recreational sports.

Founded in 1985, the Center had a budget of $3,500 and provided a mere 45 lessons in the first year. Twenty-four years later, the Center
provides more than 20,000 lessons annually and has expanded its facilities at the 26-acre Bronfman Family Recreation Center & Ranch with an administrative building,
lodge, barn, indoor and outdoor arenas, accessible playground, fire pit, ropes course, and storage facility. With the community’s support, the Center continues to accommodate phenomenal growth which attests to the need for therapeutic
recreational activities at an affordable price to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities, their families and the community.
