MEECHE'S LEGACY ENDOWMENT

Meeche's Legacy Endowment seeks to fund a permanent endowment from which the annual income will help offset the costs of program fees, scholarships, and facility upkeep and maintenance. This campaign is in honor of the National Ability Center’s co-founder, Meeche White, who stepped aside as CEO of the Ability Center in the summer of 2008.

Founded in 1985, the Center had a budget of $3,500 and provided a mere 45 lessons in the first year. Twenty-three years later, the Center provides over 23,000 lessons annually and has expanded its facilities at the 26-acre Bronfman Family Ranch location with an administrative building, lodge, barn, indoor and outdoor arenas, accessible playground, fire pit, ropes course, and storage facility. With the community’s support, the Center continues to accommodate phenomenal growth which attests to the need for therapeutic recreational activities at an affordable price to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities, their families and the community.
