ABILITY SKI TEAM
The Ability Ski Team's 2007-2008 season was one of its most successful seasons ever. The competitive side to our world-renowned alpine ski and snowboard program won eleven medals at the U.S. Disabled Nationals in Idaho this spring. Racer Erik Bayindirli won four of those medals and earned a spot on the U.S. Disabled Ski Team.
Since 1985, the National Ability Center has offered exceptional adaptive ski instruction at Park City Mountain Resort for entry level skiers through elite racers. The Ability Ski Team develops athletes through this pipeline to produce successful racers. Many alumni from the Ability Ski Team have joined the U.S. Disabled Ski Team and have competed in the Paralympics, including Muffy Davis, Lacey Heward, Dan Metivier, Erik Bayindirli and Stefani Victor.
| Our competitive program offers two levels of instruction: |
- An entry-level race series, which also includes our Junior Race Team, with
introductory race clinics geared for the intermediate and advanced disabled skier and novice racer.
- A second level provides USSA
sanctioned races so that intermediate and advanced competitors have the
opportunity to reach their maximum
potential.

Each season, members of the Ability Ski Team work toward qualifying for, and competing in the U.S. National Disabled Championships. Over the past few years, results have been impressive, with team members pulling in numerous top three and top five finishes.
