April 10, 2011 - Growing Bolder's Wendy Choiji hits the slopes to show how people who use wheelchairs are zipping down mountains. She is one of the NAC's volunteers and is reporting on one of our very own instructor and participant from MD Anderson and thier time here this season.
March 11, 2011 - The 23rd Annual Huntsman Cup ski races featured athletes from more than a half-dozen countries at Park City Mountain Resort in preparation for many nations' end-of-year championships.
February 25, 2010 - During the 10 days of the Sundance Film Festival (held here in Park City), we hosted Team Semper Fi who shared their stories with a visiting filmmaker.
December 16, 2010 - The National Ability Center hosted three groups of soldiers to wrap-up the year, and KSL's Jed Boal was here as one group hit the ice for some friendly sled hockey.
October 1, 2010 - "Discovered Abilities IV - 25 Years" debuted at A Starry Night and featured the stories of Allie Schneider and David Stott. Allie has been a participant since year two of the NAC. David has participated here since 2001. The two have different disabilities but similarly wonderful stories to share.
September 22, 2010 - FuelTV featured the National Ability Center while visiting Salt Lake City for the Dew Tour. They took some time to chat with new executive director Gail Loveland and NAC Golden Eagle sled hockey player/Vancouver Paralympic gold medalist Greg Shaw.
Summer 2010 - Water skiers from the National Abiilty Center had the chance this summer to ski at Last Chance Lake to the west of Salt Lake City. Local television station KSL 5 came to see how our program and the lake cooperated for a unique experience.
July 22, 2010 - Mark Smith with the Access Utah Network interviewed new executive director, Gail Loveland, live for a bi-weekly video podcast about the adaptive and therapeutic recreation opportunities at the National Ability Center.
July 18, 2010 - Salt Lake City's Fox 13 featured the NAC's newest addition to the equestrian program. New gypsy, Token, was shown with Equestrian Programs Manager AbbyJane Ferrin and Equestrian Resource Manager Jan Drake.
July 16, 2010 - Paralympic sled hockey gold medalist, Greg Shaw, does more than train and play for the best sled hockey team in the world. He's also an avid skate boarder.
March 16, 2010 - With the Winter Paralympic Games on the horizon, the NAC put together "Discovered Abilities Pt. III, Leaps & Bounds" featuring some of its competitive athletes and Paralympians. This video is available in 1080p HD! Athletes include Team USA Sled Hockey gold medalist, Greg Shaw; USA's #1 female adaptive snowboarder, Nicole Roundy; U.S. Adaptive Ski Team member, Erik Bayindirli; British Disabled Ski Team member, Talin Skeels-Piggins; and U.S. Paralympic swimming hopeful, Ben Stephens.
July 15, 2009 - The NAC hosted the Wounded Warrior Project's Project Odyssey with an all-female group of veterans, and KSL5's Amanda Butterfield shared their stories.
June 6, 2009 - This year we are celebrating 20 years of horseback riding at the National Ability Center. Recently we had a party with demonstrations by some of our participants. Here's what some of the evening looked like from the perspective of Mike Bradshaw from Park City Television.
June 5, 2009 - In anticipation of the 2009 Utah Paralympic Academy, Jed Boal from KSL5 met NAC participant and recent Team USA Sled Hockey gold medalist Greg Shaw to talk about adaptive sports and life.
March 14, 2009 - Park City Television's Mike Bradshaw paid a visit to the race hill at Park City Mountain Resort for the 21st Annual Ability Ski Challenge and talked with some of the event's skiers.
January 29, 2009 - The Deseret News' photojournalist Jeff Allred braved the wind and snow to ski for a day with skiers and snowboarders at Park City Mountain Resort. A group of teenagers with amputations from Shriners Hospital's Un-Limb-ited showed him the ropes.
January 6, 2009 - The Salt Lake Tribune's article about M.D. Anderson's annual ski trip to the National Ability Center included a video featuring some of the many participants who came to ski with the National Ability Center.
July 2008 - KPCW's Linda Gorton visited with members of the Wounded Warrior Project while the group spent a week experiencing waterskiing, rock climbing, horseback riding, challenge course obstacles and other great activities.
January 2008 - Park City Television aired two pieces about racers participating in this year's 20th Annual Huntsman Cup.
