VOLUNTEERS / INTERNSHIPS

The professional staff of the National Ability Center is well educated in their areas of expertise, and bring years of experience to their positions. Instructors are professionally trained and certified. Instructors with disabilities are used in many aspects of the programs to serve as role models for our participants. In addition, instructors are assisted by interns from university therapeutic recreation and special education programs. Augmenting our professional staff are Adult and Peer Partners who attend experiential training clinics where they are instructed on the proper use and maintenance of adapted equipment, and topics relating to specific issues and needs of individuals with disabilities.

Volunteer Opportunities
The National Ability Center is always seeking qualified volunteers to help with our program and administrative needs. The Center holds volunteer trainings on a regular basis, as well. To protect the safety of our participants, background checks are required for all volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the National Ability Center at 435.649.3991 or info@discovernac.org.
