“Adaptive sport gives us a chance to excel at the one thing were not set up to be any good at. The challenge of overcoming our disabilities to become great athletes is addicting.”

Path to the #AdaptiveNation:

I first started ski racing by attending the Hartford Ski Spectacular event in Breckenridge, CO in 2014. A few of the coaches there suggested that if I wanted to seriously pursue ski racing that I should go to the National Ability Center in Park City. I originally had no plans to stay out West besides that one week in Colorado. That one week turned into 3 months at the NAC– and the rest is history. I have trained with the NAC full-time every winter since 2014, and plan on continuing to do so in my pursuit of my goal of skiing for Team USA in the Paralympics.

Goals:

Ski for Team USA in the Paralympics
Win a Gold medal at the Paralympics in Golf (2028 may be the first year golf is accepted into the games)

Favorite Quote/mantra:

“Pain is temporary, it may last for a minute, or an hour, or a day, or maybe even a year. But eventually it will subside, and something else will take it’s place. If I quit however, it will last forever” -Lance Armstrong

“The most important parts of my career have been my failures, and the next level of progression that followed. Failure hurts. Let it hurt, then let it help.” -Chris Biggins.
