Matthew Brewer

Matthew Brewer, a full-time prosthetic user, is an accomplished adaptive athlete with notable achievements, including a 4th-place finish in Super-G and a 5th-place finish in Slalom at Panorama, Canada, and a 2nd-place finish in the 2019 Spartan Para World Championships. He also took 3rd place in the Midweek MTB Adaptive Handcycle Division, showcasing his versatility across sports.

Matthew’s journey with the National Ability Center began when he came to Park City to snowboard post-amputation but found his true passion in monoskiing. After receiving his own monoski through a Challenged Athletes Foundation grant, he moved to Utah to train with the NAC High Performance Alpine Team and pursue his dream of qualifying for the Paralympics and winning gold.

When he’s not training or competing, Matthew volunteers with the Amputee Coalition to support new amputees. He works as a part-time Fabrication Tech with Hanger Clinic, crafting prosthetics. He lives by the mantra #RecoveryisPossible and prepares for races with his self-made essential oil blend, which he coined his “Go Fast Juice.”
