Robert F. Cioffi

A native Vermonter, Rob is a 1990 graduate of the University of Vermont (Political Science and Economics) and a 1998 graduate of the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University (MBA—Finance). He began his career at Chase Manhattan Bank in their private banking group, and after graduate school, he started a career in private equity at GE Capital. Since 2005, he has been a partner at Alerion Partners, a boutique private equity firm in Darien, CT, and Jupiter Capital, a family office based in Morristown, NJ. In 2022, Rob received an Honorary Doctorate from his alma mater, the University of Vermont.

Rob has served on numerous non-profit boards over the past three decades, including The University of Vermont (Chair from 2010-14), The National Down Syndrome Society (Vice Chair from 2012-14), The University of Vermont Foundation, Norwalk Hospital Foundation (Chair from 2017-2020), The National Ability Center, New Canaan Squash Association. He currently serves on the boards of the New Canaan YMCA and St. Luke’s School in New Canaan, CT.

He and his wife Meghan live in New Canaan, CT, and Park City, UT, and have three children: Molly (Lesley University—2022), Caroline (University of Notre Dame—2023), and Peter (University of Notre Dame—2027).
The Cioffis first started coming to Park City in 2010 in search of an adaptive ski program for their daughter Molly, who has Down Syndrome. Molly has been skiing with the NAC since then and has attended numerous NAC summer camps.
